Works great for my fellowes 99ci shredder. Exactly what it's meant for. Doesn't tear while loading into the shredder binSturdyHome useI have really been happy with this box of shredder bags. I bought them in 2009 and I am still using the original box of 100 bags. I am a petty "low" user of shredder bags I guess with my filling a bag only once every two weeks or once every one week if I have a lot of junk mail or do a lot of mailings myself. The "computer" asked me to comment on the durability of the bags. I only gave a rating of 3 stars to durability because my bags get little rips in them every time I remove them from the shredder. My shredder has a slight rough edge on the inside, but it is not that sharp and I do not think the bag should rip every time it hits that spot but it does.It fits my shredder fairly well, but will not go all the way to the front of the shredder and allow the shredder to close. I think this is a function of oversensitivity on the part of the shredder, not the bag. The bag is the usual bag with a slightly oblong opening in the top. What is not to fit? It fit my old shredder, just not this one. Yes, these bags have lasted me through two shredders. I am impressed. The bottom closeure is fine. It never comes undone.I am bad about using the ties provided with the bags. I usually just take the bag and twirl it around, then take the exposed top portion and tie it in a knot. Works well for me and is less effort than digging for the ties; however, I must state that 100 ties are provided. I use them to tie up tomatoes and Canteloupe vines. They work just fine in this alternate capacity.ADDITIONAL NOTE:I gave the bags only 4 stars bacause they tear a little more easily than I, personally think is reasonable. But that is just me. Otherwise, they are just fine. A pretty good deal, especially at the price!Guess that is about all for the bag. The bags are pretty tough, but not quite tough enough, well configured and seem to last forever. Sounds like a terrific deal to me. (Course I realize that if you use them pell mell, they will disapear faster), but 100 count is a good number for everyone. A good buy in my opinion. So, give them a try and just check for sharp edges on the inside of your shredder before you do. If the shredder has a smooth inside, you are ready to go with no problems. Buy on.ONE MORE THING: It is now April 2013 and I am just now putting in an order for more shredder bags. These lasted me two years!!! That is a great deal!Perfect original replacement bags for your Fellows shredder (in my case the 125ci). If you liked the original roll of bags that came with your shredder, and if this is the part number identified by Fellows in your manual to identify the same, then this is for you. Honestly, any bag seems to work. For a little bit I just used tall kitchen trash bags without a draw string, the same as my office trash can, which worked fine too. But I rather like having a dedicated roll of bags to just keep in the office that I know will always fit the shredder. I also like that they are semi clear so I can see later when putting it in the trash that this is the bag with shredded paper. I still compress down the contents in my bin a few times, and then pull it out as one big cube when it will not fit anymore, and kneel on it a few times to compress it further and get the air out. I've never had any problems with these bags.Honestly, this is simply the same as the bags that came with your Fellows shredder, if it matches the part number listed. I assume they are sized specifically for their shredders. If you are buying these for another shredder, then they still are bags, and probably work okay, just like using kitchen trash bags for anything else. I don't think they are anything special other than the right fit for the Fellows shredders by matching part number.Cool product to keep your shredder cleanI actually use these as "dog poop" bags. They are big and long so what I do is tie off the bottom and use a small foot operated trash can. Handles a weeks worth of poop from a Great Dane and sausage dog. And for the quantity, cheaper than looking for the dainty 2 Liter liners that are sold for those small cans which aren't strong or big enough to get a good tie off when you have a full liner of nasty stuff. These aren't "hefty bags" so aren't really heavy duty, so don't be throwing any twigs or sharp items with the dog stuff as it will puncture easy. But have never had one just rip the contents as I take it inside to the final trash at the end of the week. Note that the bottom is "heat sealed" and sometimes if you aren't careful in pulling them apart you can accidentally be ripping into the heat seal rather than the perforation. This is why I tie the bottoms off before putting in the can as the heat seal holds, but can be the weak point (and you don't want it to open up somewhere obviously).Oh, yes, I got the idea from looking at our shredders at work. Which these are good for too! What can I say? They're plastic bags that I have ti=o use because Fellowes made the shredder bin an odd size so you HAVE to use THEIR bags. Nothing else fits the bin. If I had known I would have bought a different shredder. These bags do not fit my shredder - Fellowes P-58Cs - very well although they are the ones recommended and supplied by Fellowes. The problem is that there is not a level rim around the shredder's waste bin, there are cut outs for a window to see how full the bin is, as well as a section at the other end that dips down for the power cord and switch as well as the Safe Sense override switch. The window is rendered useless as the bags are not exactly see-through.They also make fitting the shredder head back onto the bin very fiddly, the power cut out switch is activated by a rib in the waste bin and unless the head is fitted exactly there is no power to the shredder. They would be great on a model with a level rim - they are quoted as fitting up to the SB-87Cs so it might just be the P-58Cs that they are fiddly to use on.Good points - these are the easiest plastic bags to open out that I've ever used. They do fit with a bit of persuasion. They are strong enough to use a couple of times by emptying them into a bin bag so the 11p each will stretch a bit further. They are certainly better than using nothing and having to pick up the bin to empty into a refuse bag. These bags help to keep the shreds from making a mess inside the machine as well as on the outside, when you go to empty it. They're quite small - although obviously they can take the full capacity of the bin - so if you're doing a lot of shredding, you can go through a lot of bags in a short space of time. Nevertheless, they do keep the work area clean, so I'm pleased I bought them.Pricy for a set of bags. Recommended for, but not specific to, my model of Fellowes shredder so not a great, tidy fit.Extremely poorly manufactured bags. I do not usually leave bad reviews on products since "Errors" and imperfections do happen. However, only having one bag out of 20 being able to open without splitting on the side? That is unacceptable. Even bags from the cheapest pound shop allow to at least open them without breaking. These seem to be made of onion paper. Waste of money.Just the right size for my home shredder which is 23 litres. Catches all the shredded paper well which can then be easily removed and disposed of.
